Professor X, also known as Charles Xavier, is a prominent character in the X-Men universe, first appearing in *X-Men* #1 (1963). He is a mutant with vast telepathic and telekinetic abilities.
Xavier founded the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters to provide a safe haven and training ground for mutants. He also formed the X-Men, a team of mutant superheroes dedicated to protecting both mutants and humans from threats.
Paralyzed from the waist down after an incident with his friend Magneto, Xavier uses a wheelchair. He is a brilliant scientist and strategist, committed to fostering peaceful coexistence between humans and mutants, even as he faces prejudice and adversity.
